RFID Transponder Coils

RFID Transponder Coils For Passive Keyless Entry Systems (PKE) In Automotive Market
Introduction: In this video, you will learn about RFID Transponder Coils. The video is presented by Jorge Hermosos, the head of sales and global business development for Premo. Jorge starts off by introducing radio frequency identification (RFID), and all the products that utilise it in their market field. RFID is a technology that has been used in business for more than 25 years in different applications such as animal livestock and assets tracking to name a few. There are two sides to the RFID system, the transmitter, and the receiver. In the transmitter, there is a resonant tank which contains an antenna that resonates with a compositor. The transmitter will resonate with the receiver (for example a key, card, smart car, etc.) to help identify objects or track them. One example of a device that uses RFID is a car key fob and a door handle of a car. The radio frequencies are transmitted from one device to the other to unlock the doors when approaching the vehicle. Yearly 30 million of these products are sold around the world
